Great stuff James. London Centric is proper, decent journalism and London needs that as much today as in the past. You show that the demise of print does not have mean the demise of scrutiny.
Great news about Mudchute. Many happy days spent there with my grandson, befriending the pigs and dodging voracious squirrels in search of toddlers’ snacks.
Well done! I am so glad they have listened! You are making positive change to London. I may venture back on one. One good thing that Lime does do is support London Cycling Campaign's Share The Joy fund. It is a great fund!
My neighbour has to wheel her disabled mother in a wheelchair. She was obliged to move a discarded Lime bike on the pavement to avoid going into the road. Lifting the Lime bike caused her spine to fracture. Lime spine?
I last got home with my broken bike because I carried it while lime biking.
maybe you should mind your business and not try 'exercise policing' people. I work with people who lime home after working a back breaking day that would have you tapping out in 20 minutes.
Had a new Lime for the first time today! Pros: Basket is better for storing bigger bags. Cons: seat only goes up to 9, seems less powerful (really struggled on hills)
Yeah I reckon so! Would want to see how they go in the rain and after it’s been bashed about a bit, but you can definitely feel the weight being under/behind you rather than further forward. Just wish the seat went higher!
I note BBC London has finally caught up with you Jim! Several weeks later. Thank you for your brilliant journalism, I feel so much more informed about the going’s on in the city
Rayner herself sits within the landlord(-adjacent) class. Her positioning on this is clearly less a matter of principle and more anticipatory self-protection aligned with very obvious longer-term career ambitions. Wew.
I (female, not a youngster) bought my own ebike because none of the rental bikes were step through. I go out on it but I'm not keen to let it out of my sight!

There are lots of discarded Lime bikes on the pavements in East London. Only a matter of time before a partially sighted person trips over one.
Sorry for your friend.
They’re so damned heavy and they’re fly tipped with apparent impunity.
Also, while actual pedal cycling is healthy aerobic exercise, how much energy is expended while “Liming”?
Electric bikes are great to make cycling for everyone, that extra assistance is really helpful. Great that more people can cycle.

Did it feel safer?

They seem to have ended the £6.99 for 1hr in 3 days feature and you can only pay Lime Cash now, (and the subscription offer isn't even there!)
Congratulations for being cited as shining by the govt. I agree!

Hi James - am trying to get in touch regarding journalism training and apprenticeships
I am a programme leader for PA Media Academy and am hoping to pick your brains. ian.collier@pamediaacademy.com
good to see they've learned their lesson and stuck with maxxis tyres instead of no name el cheapo ones!
Viva le “Lady Limes” — I look forward to kicking a row of these new gen bikes over at the London Fields mega dock soon :-)
