Brilliant idea! I was a reporter on the Evening Standard years ago - when it was feted for its news coverage. The capital needs something like this.

It will be nice to have some real journalism. I have always found your writing to be as objective as a human can be. I’d keep the offer going until the end of the month. Some of us less affluent ones need to wait for payday.

Jim had so many poor takes on the media he was reporting on, from ‘gossip’ to outright false information…will be interesting to see if he’s learned anything after so many years parroting the Grauniad party line.

Good luck. In Manchester Joshi Herrmann's 'The Mill' has proved local journalism can be re-invented. Slightly surprised, though, that you didn't go the Substack route.
