By my back of the envelope calculations you’ve made somewhere between £120-250k in gross revenue. So, a decent amount, but wafer thin when you take into account insurance, hiring freelancers, and the risk of litigation.
This raises a (to me) interesting question of whether you’re paying VAT or able to claim exemption as a digital newspaper, and a further question of whether, as news evolves, the existing rules are fit for purpose.

Have thoroughly enjoyed reading over the past 12 months, highlights being the story on how the bus drivers got people home during 7/7 🚌 , anything on Lime bikes 🍋🟩 and the foxes taking over google HQ 🦊. So much more informative than say BBC London, I feel more in the know about my own city. Keep it up!
