Cheers London centric team! Another great one. Wish there was more powers to stop the very much in your face fundraisers around the city. Especially the knife crime one by Farringdon that always go up to women pointing to the ground to get their attention.
I witnessed one of the Knife Crime people in Farringdon harassing a woman, to the point where she just paid to get away and not be confronted/intimidated anymore.
A common one they do to me is to point behind me and say "you've dropped something mate", I saw them do it someone else before they ever tried it on me so I know to ignore it.
As a New Yorker (who really wishes, so long as Trump is president, that she were a Londoner), I can attest that there was a degree of Islamophobia in the opposition to Mamdani. However, I think a larger element in reluctance to vote for him was one that also seems to be a source of dissatisfaction with Khan--competence. I wish Mamdani well, but he is totally lacking in the kind of experience needed to govern a notoriously fractious city and his religion has nothing to do with that.
As a fellow New Yorker in the same state of mind, at least he represents the chance of some change, even if he only accomplishes a bit of what he has promised. With Cuomo, there would've been the same old machine politics crap and pandering and with Sliwa, G-d knows.
My first reply seems to have vanished. Anyway, sorry if this appears as a duplicate. I agree with what you've said, I just hope he can make some headway against fossil Democrats, City Council, etc. On the bright side, Adams is gone and the national Democrats are showing signs of life (VA, NJ, PA, CA)!
Why isn't the regulator for logo design investigating this outrage?
I'm amazed the name alone isn't enough to make people's skin crawl; everything about their presentation is obnoxious.

You just described a mugging.

Not like the Mail to re-use a story without attribution.

Interesting to see a local council defection exclusive!
